2 of 3 people found the following review helpful. A life well lived By toni l. skeen Although I've known Helen for almost 40 years, I learned so much more about her through this wonderful book. Not only did it describe her fun, curious, adventurous life and spirit, it took me back in time through the various anecdotes from her childhood. It also highlighted the struggles she faced as a single, working mom during a time when opportunities for women were much more limited. The book has inspired me to share more of my history and stories with my children, and to make sure I play more and set an example of resilience and fun for my kids just as Helen has always done.

The author provides interesting food for thought while giving you a glimpse of life from a different generation. She takes you with her on her journey and leaves you wanting more. Definitely a must read.
