0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great old resource, mediocre reproduction By Chris Dale This book is charmingly written and informative, even being over 100 years old. The art of sailing has not changed much since then, although his advice on choosing crafts, ropes, and anchors is all based on technology from the era. Modern ropes and anchors have all but displaced these older technologies, and fiberglass hulls complicate a lot of what he has to say about which craft to choose.Fifth star withheld because page numbers are still in the text, often in the middle of words. I'd expect any paid ebook to have at least been read and edited before being put up for sale. It does however seem to be free of the obvious transcription errors that so frequently haunt these older texts.
