Abramowitz,PhD, is Professor and AssociateChair of Psychologyand Research Professor ofPsychiatry at the Universityof North Carolina(UNC) at Chapel Hill.He is Director of the UNCAnxiety and Stress DisordersClinic and a North Carolina licensedpsychologist with a diplomate from the American Board of Professional Psychology. He is an international expert on anxiety and OCD andhas published 12 books and over 200 research articles and book chapters. He is editor of two scientifi c journals, including the Journal ofObsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders. Dr. Abramowitz has served as President of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.Ryan Jane Jacoby, MA, is a doctoral student of clinical psychology in theAnxiety/OCD Lab at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill.She conducts research on the nature and treatment of OCD and anxiety disordersand is specifi cally interested in cognitive biases, treatment augmentation strategies,symptom dimensions of OCD, and inhibitory learning approaches to exposure therapy.
