As a massage therapist myself, I can relate to many of the examples the author illustrates. This book would be an excellent choice for massage programs for beginning MT's or seasoned veterans looking to jump start their practice. While in school I can remember discussing many of these issues. It would have been nice to have it all in one handy location for easy reference!

As a massage therapist, I have quite a few books on the business side of this industry, be it how to write a business plan or marketing tips, etc. But this gem of a book is a little different. While geared towards therapists wanting to start their own practice, there are some great tips for therapists in any setting who wish to set themselves apart. These are easy and common sense steps you can incorporate into your practice like how to center yourself before you begin a massage to some practical marketing tips when you are first starting out, all peppered with positive quotes and thoughts throughout the book. I really do wish I had this when I was still in school. Having read it now, I think it's helped shave years off of my learning curve to creating a thriving practice. I love this book! It's like having your very own massage mentor you can call at any time.
