About the Author I grew up on an organic farm in Italy and was home educated. Along the way I’ve worked for Sainsbury’s head office looking after the organic range of products as well as developing new products and packaging; for Roehampton University developing student entrepreneurs; done a Masters focused on creativity and worked as a business consultant on a government scheme for over six years offering mentoring, advice, training and grants to small businesses, mostly in the food sector. I now live in London with my husband, young son and baby daughter, looking after the kids and writing.

Sample Full disclosure: I am the British narrator for this book so of course I have only positive things to say! But that said I do have an opinion. Having breastfed two babies in years past I realize in hindsight I could have spent my breastfeeding time a little differently. This helpful and easy-to-read book made me think – the author estimates that you may spend 700 hours (YES 700 hours!!) breastfeeding if you breastfeed for 6 months. Gulp! I had no idea I had spent that kind of time.Not all these suggestions would be for me and a couple are maybe a "no brainer", but many are very worthwhile, practical and fun. Things you might not otherwise consider doing while breastfeeding. Once you have your breastfeeding routine down (take it from me it may take a while!) ponder Melissa Addey’s suggestions and you could find yourself really capitalizing on this lovely, special and rewarding time. Give it a go! I wish I had.
