My name is Alberto Towns, and I’m here to show you diabetes type 1 isn’t as scary as it seems. My parents and me have gone a long way from that day. The sole purpose of this book is to help parents like you get back on their feet and be able to see what I’ve seen during almost 10 years now, and that is, diabetes can be a blessing. It has become a part of who I am and I wouldn’t change anything at all. I sincerely hope this book helps you set your child on its way to a healthy, complication free, long life. I hope as well, that years from that day when your child got his diagnose, you’ll look back and see how has he triumphed over the people who choose to look diabetes as that which it certainly not is, a disease.

Because she is so young I bought this for to her make sure she could understand what was going on. This is such an amazing and helpful book to read about a very confusing disease. As a nurse I understood it all but it was great for her and her mom to read. It breaks down all the type of foods we eat and which ones would be best and worse for her to eat.A great crash course.
