Joan has managed to preserve a piece of little known history through the eyes of a very brave English girl and a determined Indian boy. In these days of internet and instant contact the world is a very small place, this memoir by Joan shows what a huge amount of love and faith existed between these two people, who from totally different, extremely diverse cultures and countries made a life together.
