It is SUPER healthy, loaded with filling fiber, absorb the flavor of everything, the texture kicks rear, and it is grainy and fun to eat. You can add it to everything. I seriously mean everything. I, myself, have even made potato-ish salads using quinoa instead. Delicious. Quinoa can substitute everything, from rice, to potatoes, I mean, everything. I loved this book because of the recipes and because it really can give you shortcuts for weightloss that I didn't think about before. I think it is worth reading and putting together in your recipe book. Quinoa is a wonderful (I'll say it again, wonderful) substitute to simple carbs, and this book is awesome!

By Jean Richards I remember the first time I tried quinoa, I was skeptical to even try it, but a friend told me how great it was and I ended up loving it. I love the way Ms. Perth has broken down the sections in 110 easy to read, easy to follow chapters. Great explanations are included with the sections. I never realized how packed full of vitamins and minerals quinoa was. The author gives great tips and suggestions on how to use quinoa and what it goes great with. She includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack suggestions, which I am saving and plan on doing with my own meals. She even includes face masks and hair treatments that you can do using quinoa.
