I love the way the author shares her experiences, her thoughts, and her hopes and fears. It causes me to reflect on my own experiences, thoughts, hopes, and fears. This book is masterfully captivating in the way it draws the reader in and imparts understanding. It inspires me to be grateful for what I've been through and to praise God for His intervention in my life. Be prepared to have a fresh encounter with God when you read this!
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. I am glad I did. By Steven L Messer I have known the Author since we "dated" at age 16. Initially I was not going to read this book, because of our past, but I am glad I did. The book is well written, and it is easy to go to the places she describes (maybe too easy for some of them). Her description of the garden and the oak tree and little boy was almost predictable and I told myself I would not let it get to me, but it did. Even now as I write this I have tears in my eyes and the screen has gone blurry, but it is good. Thankfully we know her life gets better with time and we find that she has not lost her faith in God nor hope that things will continue to get better. We remember what we knew, that no matter what is done to us, or what we do, we are God's children and He loves us unconditionally, just as we love our children - all of them.I encourage you to take your trip through this story, you won't regret it.

Kathi digs deep down to reveal her deepest thoughts, pain and, yes, HOPE! A hope that she quickly shares with everyone she encounters, offering of herself and exposing the fears and doubts she experienced, so others can see the hope for themselves. I've known Kathi for quite a while now and remember so clearly when she shared her story with me and how we shed tears together. Tears, that I am sure were bittersweet, as she could never change what happened in her past, but mingled with the joy that comes from knowing that she is a forever changed daughter of the Most High and that her sweet children are safe in His arms. Kathi's main goal is to be Christ's hand extended to reach a hurting world with love and compassion. Love the book and love Kathi!!!
